HUSH blocks ads and trackers on your iPhone without collecting your data.
The short version: HUSH has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. We don't collect, store, share or sell your personal data. Everything HUSH does to block ads and trackers happens on your iPhone.

When you turn HUSH on, iOS adds a VPN configuration that runs only on your iPhone. It is not a VPN service: your internet traffic is not routed through any server of ours, and we don't operate any servers that see your browsing.
The on-device configuration looks only at the web addresses your apps ask to reach (domain names). Each one is checked on your iPhone against HUSH's block list. Addresses of known ads and trackers are stopped on your iPhone. Everything else continues normally: those lookups are answered by Cloudflare's public DNS resolver, 1.1.1.1, just as they'd otherwise be answered by your network's DNS. We never receive them. None. HUSH does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, browsing history, device identifiers, or usage analytics. HUSH contains no advertising or third-party tracking code.
If you turn on HUSH in Safari, it runs on the pages you visit so it can apply the elements you've chosen to hide, show you what HUSH blocks when you use Preview, and allow a site when you ask. It reads page content only on your iPhone, only for those features, and never collects or transmits it.
"Allow on HUSH" adds the website you shared to your allowed sites, on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.
Subscriptions, lifetime purchases and gift codes are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple provides HUSH with a record of your purchase so the app can confirm your access on your iPhone. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
HUSH is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
You can turn HUSH off at any time with the switch in the app, remove its VPN configuration in iOS Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, and delete all HUSH settings by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
